EMPOREA WORLDS FACE NEW ENDINGS!


!THIS CHANGE WILL APPLY TO ALL THE EXISTING WORLDS AFTER THE PATCH!


The main changes:
  • worlds end on a given moment, there is no final level of the Altar of Gods which would make the world end - Altars of Gods are vitally important in other aspects of the game!
  • worlds last exactly 14 WEEKS
  • new game mechanisms implemented
    • the best ones: 3 great battles (boss fights) during the last month of the world´s existence (Your altar gets attacked - will you be able to defend it?)
    • Every player´s contribution counts! Individual attacks against enemy creatures will result in tears gain for the entire alliance!
  • the strongest alliance with the most damage dealt to the ultimate enemy in the third fight wins the world and will be remembered forever (*stats published online)
  • also, the last day will be the special day off, when the world is regenerating, all the rankings are decided and battles are over, and you can do whatever you feel like without risking falling in ranks
  • the world gets restarted 24 hours after its end (the final, third, battle), last four hours it will be out of service - preparing a new chapter in the history!
  • when the world concludes, your player points earned during its existence will transform to RUBIES - new currency usable to purchase part of the items in our Emporea Shop (gems as we know it stay, too!)

ALTAR - WHAT IS NEW?


The main changes:

  • Tear Tax per hour cancelled!
  • Being a temple owner is no longer a prerequisite for building the Altar of Gods.
  • Altar level upgrades happen instantly, BUT you need to collect the resources and harvest the required amount of tears beforehand.
  • The amount of building material (resources + tears) needed for upgrades has been changed - the lower levels are now much cheaper.
  • Altars provide their owners with bonuses such as higher training speed and resource production. Also, they contribute to your player´s strength ranking. See below for more details!


What is Altar good for?
Altar gives your alliance bonuses of various kinds, helping its members to survive in tough lands of Emporea! The higher the altar level, the higher the bonuses.

Every completed altar level gives you:

+1 % resources production
+3 % mana production
+1 % maximum upkeep bonus
+5 % training speed
+3 % research speed


Moreover, the altar level adds points to player strength ranking of each alliance member (1000 points per level)!

Who can build the Altar of Gods?
All alliances! The option to build the Altar and upgrade it to the next level stays in hands of all the members with the “Right to upgrade alliance”.

What do I need to build it?
Alliances need to collect certain amount of resources and tears. Once they have enough of both, they earn the option to upgrade the altar to the next level.

Don´t worry! If you collect more tears than you need for the very next level, you will not lose them - they stay in your altar and you can use it to upgrade the altar to the next level.

But, be careful! You cannot store more than 1,8 times what you need for the next level.
For example: If you need 10 000 tears for upgrading the altar to level 7, being at level 6 you can collect up to 18 000 tears!

BOSS FIGHTS (3 great end-world events!)

Starting one month before the world ends, there will come a moment for your alliance to prove your skills and show your strength - the Altars of Gods are being attacked by creatures hungry for your saved tears. You need to stand up to your enemy and give as much damage to the attackers as you can! The strongest alliances win the worlds!

What will happen?
  • three grand events lasting three days each (The Unknown Threat, The Gathering Storm, and the last one, yet secret!), separated by several days of relative peace
  • each of them consists in defending your altar - you need to send your army to fight the enemy trying to steal your tears
  • you will be gathering rewards based on the amount of battle and spell damage given in those fights
  • the last, final fight will decide the world´s winner!

Important: You cannot leave, kick another member or disband the alliance during any of those fights.

WHO IS THE END-WORLD WINNER?
The alliance dealing the most damage to the horrifying creature in the last fight of the world (sum of all the individual players´ successes)
But! THE ALTARS AND THE PREVIOUS FIGHTS ARE VITALLY IMPORTANT, as they make you and your alliance mates stronger by providing you with bonuses (altar) and the special rewards you can claim in the big fights with Harvesters and Stormreavers. They help you grow to become the strongest alliance in the final fight!


THREE BOSS FIGHTS

11th week of the world´s existence: UNKNOWN THREAT- Here comes the Harvester!
Horrifying Harvesters are coming up to suck the tears out from your Altars. Deal them as much damage as you can, make them go away, and earn yourself great rewards and tears for your alliance in exchange!

What will happen?
  • Your altars will be attacked by one strong unit - the HARVESTER.
  • Your mission is to deal him as much damage as you can.
  • All types of damage count! Spell damage included. Spell range canceled when reaching the altars.
  • Every sent attack costs 1 command point.
  • Based on the amount of damage given, you can claim special rewards, that help you and your alliance. (Imagine it as a set of Rewards in Arena or Halloween event.)
  • Every player´s contribution counts! As an individual player, you are fighting for rewards, including tears that help your entire alliance.

Duration: 3 days.

HARVESTER
- enemy unit with three special abilities that make him stronger the more you fight him: Corrosion Aura, Death Aura, and Explosion of Anger

Corrosion Aura
  • reduces your ability to deal damage in time based on total amount of damage your have dealt to unit already

Death Aura
  • some of your units will die instantly. Chances to being killed grow with units anger!

Explosion of Anger
  • makes Harvester able to deal more and more damage to his enemies - the more damage you deal to Harvester, the stronger his Explosion of Anger gets!


13th Week of the World´s age - THE GATHERING STORM - Stormreavers are coming!
Bigger, stronger and more angry than his cousin Harvester, the great Stormreaver comes to your altar to finish at what Harvester failed. Will you be able to defend again?

What will happen?

  • Your altars will be attacked by one strong unit - the Stormreaver!
  • Your mission is to deal him as much damage as you can
  • All types of damage count! Spell damage included, spell range does not matter when casting on Altar.
  • Every sent attack costs 1 command point.
  • Based on the amount of damage given, you can claim special rewards, that help you and your alliance. (Imagine it as a set of Rewards in Arena or Halloween event.)
  • Each player´s contribution counts! As an individual player, you are fighting for rewards, including tears that help your entire alliance.

Duration: 3 days

STORMREAVER
- enemy unit with three special abilities that make him stronger the more you fight him: Corrosion Aura, Death Aura, and Explosion of Anger
- same principles as with Harvester, but more difficult to gain your prize!

Corrosion Aura
  • reduces your ability to deal damage in time based on total amount of damage your have dealt to unit already

Death Aura
  • some of your units will die instantly. Chances to being killed grow with units anger!

Explosion of Anger
  • makes Harvester able to deal more and more damage to his enemies - the more damage you deal to Harvester, the stronger his Explosion of Anger gets!



14th Week of the World´s age - the most important fight of the world starts!

The ultimate fight with the ultimate enemy, coming to test what you have learned during the wartime and where everything you have earned will come to use. The alliance giving the most damage to this creature, will win the world!


What will happen?

  • Your altars will be attacked, again.
  • Your mission is to deal the creature as much damage as you can.
  • All types of damage count! Spell damage included (spell range does not matter when casting on Altar).
  • Since your player´s score does not depend on the actual upkeep you have, you can risk and sacrifice everything you have - fight till your last breath, till your last man, till your last spell and potion, show your enemies the real power you have gained in this world! This battle decides it all, make use of it!
  • Every sent attack costs 1 command point.
  • Based on the amount of damage given, the world´s decides its winning alliance!

Duration: 3 days

BE AWARE! During the VERY LAST BOSS FIGHT, the fight with Xoggoth, all MARKET PLACES ARE CLOSED TO CREATING NEW MARKET OFFERS.

Consequently, for the last two days of the world existence, the market will be an empty place with no goods to buy. Be sure you have everything you need from markets before the third battle starts!

GLOBAL RANKINGS (PLAYER SCORE, RUBIES SHOP)


What changes?
  • the way we calculate the Strength of your hero! It will be more complex and more revealing about your success.

Player´s score (player strength points) will be calculated from:
  • your maximum upkeep capacity (1:1)
  • city points (for more information how to calculate these, please, see: http://prntscr.com/54xy8w)
  • level of your hero x 200 (e.g. your hero is on a level 72, which makes it 14 400 points)
  • treasure points (same as always)
  • 1000 points per each altar level (e.g. your alliance has a level 12 Altar, so it makes you earn 12 000 points)

Attention, warrior! Your score is not only a thing of prestige anymore. After the world ends, your score will transfer into rubies, the special game currency usable in Emporea shop after the world restarts again.

HOW DO RUBIES WORK?

  • After the world´s end, your player score will turn into rubies - the special currency usable in Emporea shop in any of the worlds you are currently playing
  • There is a maximum number of rubies you can save. But don't worry, the limit is high enough: 400 000!
  • Rubies are common to all the realms - the same as gems.
  • IMPORTANT: You have to raise at least to the level 30, to get the rubies when the world ends. The same requirement as for the end-world medal.

RESTART OF THE WORLD (When the battles are over)

The last 3-days long of BOSS FIGHT event ends. What happens now in Emporea?

The following 24 hours:
  • Emporea Gods use several minutes after the final fight to calculate the results and rankings (you cannot play now)
  • after this short period, you can enter the world again, to see the results of the 14 weeks long struggle!
  • from now until the world restart, your player´s score and achievements are locked, you cannot influence them anymore - you also cannot leave or disband the alliance, attack another player, fortresses or forbidden temples
  • But! You can attack and spell camps and use the rest of the game mecaniques. Go wild!
  • You can chat with your teammates and other players: discuss the world´s greatest battles, boast with your war success, and maybe use the moment to plan your future strategies and decide the plan for the next world chapter.
  • For the last four hours, the world closes to regenerate.
  • On the 25th hour, the world rises again, brand new! (11 a.m., GMT)

World´s restart (25th hour after the final fight)

What will survive to the next world chapter?
  • your finished achievements and gems
  • your name
  • your player score will transfer into rubies, the special game currency usable in Emporea shop after the world restarts again.

Wow this will be a totally new game! :) Looking forward to it! Does this mean there will no longer be temples or forts, no provinces to hold? Where do we get the tears from (except from harvesting the altar and hitting the bosses). Is the fighting moved to the bosses now, and no more fights between alliances?

No, don't worry, there still will be Tears as we know them.
(Sources of Tears: Forbidden Temples, fortresses, as usually..., to that we are adding a third source: these 3 boss fights.) :)

And also the Altar, to have an Altar on a very high (the best on highest level from all...) level will be very important to win the game.

Are gems going to be used the same way as before or in a new different way and if so how? Or will will these rubies replace them? if command points are needed to attack the bosses, will there be more command points generated faster in the game? or we will have to buy more if we need more?

i think during the time of these special events you should make more command points available to the players to increase the fun like decrease in time of command point generation, more command point in arena e.t.c.
